Directions & Cancellation Policy

Funfit Family Fitness Center cancellation policy:
If Montgomery County Schools are closed or delayed, we will open at 11:30am on weekdays.
All Activities prior to this time will be cancelled. On weekends all parties will be held (Saturdays starting at 11am, Sundays starting at 10am), Saturday morning classes will be cancelled if schools are cancelled or delayed (these closures are announced on TV & radio just like on a weekday). If there is an extreme emergency (blizzard, power outages, etc.), please call 301-975-0099 and listen to our recording.

OFF-SITE Class Cancellation Policy:

Montgomery County Recreation... All classes will be cancelled if Montgomery County Schools are closed. If schools are delayed, all classes scheduled prior to 12-Noon are cancelled, all classes scheduled after 12-noon will be held ontime as scheduled. The cancelled classes will be made up at the end of the session if possible. Classes are cancelled for school holidays, but are not cancelled on Teacher Professional Days.
Howard County Recreation... All classes will be cancelled if Howard County Schools are closed or delayed. The class will be made up at the end of the session if possible. Classes are cancelled for school holidays and Teacher Professional Days.
City of Rockville... These classes will be cancelled if Montgomery County Schools are closed, if classes are delayed, morning classes are cancelled, afternoon classes are held. The class will be made up at the end of the session if possible. Classes are cancelled for school holidays, but are not cancelled on Teacher Professional Days.
Frederick County, MD... During inclement weather, if you are registered in a Frederick County Recreation Class please call the Fred. Co. Parks & Rec Cancellation Line at 301-600-6291. Closures for classes in this county are announced on this phone line and are not associated with school closures. Morning class closures should be announced on this phone line by 7am and afternoon class closures should be announced by 2pm. Please be sure to call this phone number prior to venturing out to class or use your best judgement for safety.
McLean & Cub Run CC in Virginia... All Funfit classes are cancelled if Fairfax County Schools are closed. If Fairfax County schools are delayed, Funfit classes will be held. Class makeup days will be announced. Classes are cancelled for most school holidays, but are not cancelled on Teacher Professional Days.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE USING A GPS,
Type in our address (17511 Redland Rd.), but use "DERWOOD" for the City, NOT Rockville. This will bring you right to our door.
(I have no idea why this is, it just is for whatever reason.)

From Virginia & points South… Take 1-495 to Rockville and take 270 North. Take exit 8 Shady Grove Rd/Redland Blvd. and stay in RIGHT lane to exit onto Redland Blvd. Stay on Redland for 3.7 miles (drive through King Farm & after you cross Rt. 355 - Redland Blvd. becomes Redland Rd.). The Redland Center* is on your right. If you get to the light at Muncaster Mill Rd. you just passed the Redland Center. (*Please note: When you come off of 270, you will pass a Redland Center Business Park on your right, this is NOT our Center, continue past this & follow instructions above)

From Frederick & points North… Take 270 South to Exit 11A – Rt. 124E towards Montgomery Village Avenue. Continue across Rt. 355, about ¾ of a mile to light at Midcounty Hiwy. and turn RIGHT. Go to end and turn LEFT on Shady Grove Rd., to 2nd light and turn RIGHT on Muncaster Mill Rd. Continue through light at Redland Rd. to First RIGHT after EXXON station and turn RIGHT into the Redland Center.

From Gaithersburg… Follow directions from points North.

From Olney… Take Rt. 108 to Bowie Mill Rd. Continue on Bowie Mill Rd to end and turn RIGHT on Muncaster Mill Rd. Continue a little more than a mile to a LEFT into the Redland Center. If you come to the light at Redland Rd. then turn left on Redland Rd. and turn left into the Redland Center.
Alternate Route... Take 108 West to light at Muncaster Rd., make LEFT & proceed through next light (becomes Redland Rd.) & turn LEFT into Redland Center (Bank of America on corner of Center).

From Silver Spring… North on Georgia Avenue, past Leisure World Complex to LEFT at light onto Rt. 28/Norbeck Rd. Go to next light (which is almost immediately after you turn onto 28) and turn RIGHT onto Muncaster Mill Rd.(Rt.115), continue for a little over 5 miles to Redland Center on LEFT.
